Oh Yeah? Watch This!

I’m sick of hearing about how SUVs are responsible for gas increases, global warming, cowboy imperialism, and perhaps the AIDS virus.
So to fight back against the forces of overeducated ignorance, guess what we’re going to do? We’re going to start a little game here at CommuterOutrage.com called Oh yeah? Watch this!
Here’s how it works.
Every time any of us comes across an article, post, video, or broadcast that blames the Sport Utility Vehicle for high fuel prices, fluctuating temperatures, foreign policy blunders, or anything else, I’m going to retaliate by turning on my Jeep and revving the engine for five minutes.
Now, to be fair, we’re not going to go out of our way to find SUV-bashing stories, i.e. we’re not going to scour the web for them. But when we come across them, we’re going to take immediate action.
And you know what -
The Hartford Courant, perhaps the dumbest newspaper in America, today delivered a preachy editorial titled “Death of the SUV?” in which it bashes SUVs and mocks their owners.
Unlike a station wagon or van, the SUV projects an image of elegant country squiredom. On the outside, its spare, rugged lines are a nod to the vehicle’s utilitarian origins. Inside, however, an SUV can be as soft and plush as any boudoir, complete with the latest in high-tech gadgetry.
All that indulgence has come at a social cost. Anyone whose rearview mirror has been filled by the grille of one of these behemoths can attest to an SUV’s my-way-on-the-highway menace. Combine that with its gas-guzzling, lane-hogging ways and it’s not hard to see how this vehicle has become a symbol of wretched excess.
Oh yeah? Watch this!
UPDATE:
How about that, you freaking eggheads?
