If the TSA hired competent people, got rid of the idiotic, rear view mirror, non-safety-increasing practices (like concentrating their efforts on liquids and shoe bombs), stopped caving to political correctness by frisking old women, babies, veterans, and everyone else who's clearly not a terrorist, and implemented forward-looking procedures so that they're always one step ahead of the bad guys, I'd have no problem with the organization. But remember last year, when the <a href="http://www.boingboing.net/2007/03/30/tsa-missed-90-of-bom.html" rel="nofollow">TSA in Denver missed 90% of bombs/IEDs during an undercover test</a>? This is the problem. And hiring riff-raff like Sonia Pitt doesn't make me feel any safer. Don’t get me wrong.
